On the 22nd of September, we will be going to the typical Dutch windmills in Zaanse Schans and to the old fishing village Volendam. With this trip, you can cross visiting Zaanse Schans and Volendam off of your Dutch bucket list in one go for only 10 euros! We’ll show you around both places and tell you a bit of the history, and you will have enough free time to chill and explore for yourself. Expect a lot of windmills, wooden shoes, cheese and fish!

Zaanse Schans
The Zaanse Schans is a residential area in which the 18th and 19th centuries are brought to life.
Zaanse Schans is the perfect place to take some really Dutch pictures. Stroll past the bakery museum and enjoy the smell of fresh bread, or take a look at the warehouse where clogs are made. You should be sure not to miss the cheese factory, pewter foundry and the various windmills. The Zaanse Schans is a unique part of the Netherlands, full of wooden houses, mills, barns and workshops!

Volendam is one of our oldest fishing villages. Besides all the old school buildings, boats and beers, you can get the best fish in the area. Two locals from FreeTours Volendam will be providing us with a tour of the village.
